White Roofs Up North

While painting a roof white may help reflect the sun’s heat away from your roof, it makes a lot more sense to put down an insulating layer as well so that your roof does it’s job in both the summer and the winter. This is particularly true in more northern states, where white roofs are far less effective. Read the article to see why.
