Polyurethane Foam Insulation
Your Ideal Solution for Cost-Saving Energy-Efficient Insulation
Help for Allergy Sufferers
You can reduce or stop the entry of dust and pollen into your building by controlling air infiltration. With a controlled environment in your home or office you can live a more comfortable life, with less cleaning too.

Insulate Band Joist Areas
Band joist areas have always been difficult areas to insulate effectively with insulation products. But because the polyurethane foam is spray applied, effective insulation is easy. Now, the bottom line for you is energy savings, minimized drafty areas and warmer floors.
Add Strength to Your Building
During installation, the polyurethane foam bonds tight to the framing and adds strength to the building. The expanding foam effectively insulates tight areas that are hard to seal like the space behind electrical outlets. You dont even need 2x 6 studs to achieve optimum R-values. You save on construction costs and benefit from continued energy savings through the life of the home.
Save Money
A building that has good insulation plus air infiltration control
- reduces the use of fossil fuels for energy
- reduces the CO2 emissions that damage the environment
- saves the homeowner money
- eliminates the need for window and door jamb extensions
Control Air Infiltration
Air infiltration is caused by leaks around windows and doors, or voids, joints and cracks hidden inside the building structure. Uncontrolled air travels through the structure inside walls and ceilings, under basework and along hidden pathways in the plumbing or electrical system. Even the most well-built buildings have seams and gaps that lead to air infiltration. Natural energy labs estimate that air infiltration wastes nearly half of every heating and cooling dollar.
The Inside Story - WALLS
Partial Depth Insulation
To Achieve an R-21 standard value, you can apply three inches of insulation between conventional 2x4 studs.
Full-Depth Insulation
Insulation applied to full 2x4 stud depth has a design R-value of more than 24. That exceeds industry standards and, as a result, delivers even more cost savings. Once the house has been framed and enclosed with exterior siding, polyurethane insulation can be sprayed between studs, filling the stud cavity.
Polyurethane Foam Insulation Combinations
Even a modest layer of one inch of spray polyurethane foam will stop air infiltration through the building envelope. When used in combination with insulation products like fiberglass, rockwool, or cellulose, spray polyurethane foam will enhance their performance to create an improved energy saving wall system.
Build Energy Conservation into Your House or Commercial/Industrial Site
- This unique insulation is spray applied directly into stud cavities or other surfaces, sealing joints and cracks throughout the structures outer framework.
- The spray polyurethane foam expands and fills unwanted voids in the building envelope to stop air infiltration.
- Spray polyurethane foam quickly cures to a rigid monolithic insulation that holds tight and helps make the structure stronger.
- The spray polyurethane foams performance enhances the mechanical ventilation equipments ability to provide a controlled, properly ventilated environment.
- The spray polyurethane foam system also seals and reduces the temperature differences between the outside and inside wall preventing convection currents of air from looping up and down in the walls.
Minimize Condensation Concerns
Home and commercial buildings are designed to be tighter with more insulation value than ever before. Moisture from cooking, laundry, showers, and industrial applications can be trapped, causing premature deterioration of the structure. Spray polyurethane foam insulation systems minimize both heat buildup and condensation, resulting in cooler and dryer attics in all climates.
The R-Value Myth
"R" refers to resistance to heat flow. These measurements are taken in a laboratory environment. But heat flow resistance is only part of the formula for effective insulation. R-value doesnt measure the amount of air infiltration or moisture that penetrates through an insulated wall. In short, the measurement doesnt factor in real-world weather conditions. The only way to eliminate air infiltration and moisture is to completely seal the building and use mechanical air controls to regulate air flow.
Spray polyurethane foam may provide its own vapor, water and wind retarders to create the ideal sealed building system.
The Inside Story - CEILINGS
Non-Accessible Attic/Scissors-Truss Construction
polyurethane foam insulation can be applied to scissors-truss roof construction in the same way it is applied to conventional stud wall construction. The insulation is sprayed to the underside, taking care to seal the areas along the truss system and the decking.
Commercial Exterior Roofing
For commercial exterior roofing insulation applications, polyurethane foam can be applied in conjunction with a suitable roof covering.

Why Spray Polyurethane Foam is Your Ideal Insulation Solution
| |
High Insulation Value
|
- Allows you to fit more insulation into less space (2" x 4" instead of 2" x 6) - saving you money in reduced lumber costs.
- Performs in hot as well as cold temperatures, which is why your home refrigerator, heater, and hot water heater use this type of insulation.

Stops Air Infiltration
|
- Minimizes airflow.
- Helps eliminate drafts and provides for comfortable, even heat.
- Provides improved humidity control.
| |
Moisture Resistant
|
- Inhibits moisture-driven elements due to its closed cell structure.
| |
Spray Applied
|
- Seals cracks and crevices.
- Insulates hard to reach areas.
- Provides quick, easy application by professionals.
- Provides a seamless layer of insulation.
| |
Rigid
|
- Will not settle.
- Adds structural strength.
- Closed cell structure stops air leakage and inhibits air infiltration.
- Inhibits insect penetration.
| |
Lightweight
|
- Does not sag.
- Provides a high degree of strength-to-weight ratio.
- Adds little weight to ceiling or roof areas.
- Reduces transportation costs compared to bulkier insulation products.
| |
Excellent Adhesion
|
- Adheres to the surface that it is sprayed on and does not need fasteners to hold it in place.
| |
Safe
|
- Contains no urea formaldehyde.
- Building code listed.
| |
Code Approved
|
- Materials needed meet building code requirements and are accepted nationwide. Spray applied polyurethane foam must be covered with a fifteen-minute-rated thermal barrier on the habitable side of the building, such as with ½" rated sheetrock.
